My pictures are taken with natural light whenever possible, and when the photograph presents itself. It always seeks me out, not the other way around. The light, the shadows the emotions present themselves as a slice of life that beckon to be captured. I want each image to be a visual experience.
Strong colors are my passion, as well as forms, in nature or in the unexpected juxtaposition of human creation. Most everything is beautiful from a certain angle, under a certain light. I am looking for that angle, and then I frame it like a graphic abstract painting. My portraits need to reveal the soul, reveal an emotion.
I am equally fascinated by nature and the wonders of man-made architectural monuments. One of my subjects for many years has been polo, and all horse related things, which are grouped in their own section. I want to evoke its camaraderie and spirit which comes with teams, tribes, and friends together: spontaneity and joy.
