My pictures are taken with natural light whenever possible, when the photograph presents itself. It seeks me out, not the other way around. The light, the shadows the emotions present themselves as a slice of life that beckon to be captured. Each image is a visual experience. Strong colors are my passion, as well as forms, in nature or in the unexpected juxtaposition of human creation.
Most everything is beautiful from a certain angle, under a certain light. I look for that angle, then I frame it as a graphic abstract painting. My portraits need to reveal the soul, reveal an emotion.
I am equally fascinated by nature and the wonders of man-made architectural monuments. One of my subjects for many years has been polo, evoking its camaraderie and spirit: teams, tribes, and friends together - spontaneity and joy.
